Painting and Academic Drawing - Inspiring, Accessible and Easy to Understand

At our studio, you can learn the fundamentals of both acrylic and oil painting, develop your drawing skills and explore the principles of academic drawing - including form and proportion, perspective, light and shadow, composition, color theory and other essential artistic skills.

We focus not only on the learning process, but also on the results. Our goal is to help you develop your skills, confidence and individual artistic style while creating artwork you can truly be proud of.

Your creative journey does not have to end at the studio. Our students also have opportunities to participate in exhibitions, present their work to a wider audience, gain valuable experience and find inspiration for their continued artistic development.

Each instructor has their own unique teaching style and program, allowing everyone to find the creative path that suits them best. During the classes, you can explore a variety of subjects and techniques - from still life and urban landscapes to nature scenes, portraits and expressive oil paintings.

Rita Uļjanova - Your Journey into Creativity

Rita Uļjanova is a Latvian painter whose work combines classical traditions with contemporary expression. She studied at the Janis Rozentāls Riga Art High School and the Art Academy of Latvia, where she earned a Master's degree in Painting.

Since 1997, Rita has been an active participant in the art world. Her solo exhibitions and artworks have been presented from Latvia to the United States, Italy and Israel, earning recognition from audiences as well as professional awards.

Now you have an opportunity to learn from an artist whose work is held in collections around the world.

What will You Learn?

Over the course of 12 classes, you will:

• Explore a variety of techniques, from acrylic and oil painting to drawing and working with texture

• Learn the principles of light and shadow and the fundamentals of perspective

• Experiment with decorative techniques, gold leaf and free-form creative expression

• Create both classical and contemporary works of art

This is more than just academic painting training. It is a creative experience designed to help you discover and develop your own artistic style.

You will not only develop practical skills - you will also discover new sides of your creativity and personality.

Examples of Course Projects

“The White Owl” - your first artwork using sepia and white highlights.

“Moods of the Seasons” - a painting inspired by your favorite season.

“Fantasy Flowers” - a bold exploration of color and emotional expression.

“The Golden Age” - an artwork incorporating metallic foils and special effects.

“My World” - the final painting, bringing together everything you have learned throughout the course.

Subscription Terms

During your subscription period, your credit card will be automatically charged every 4 weeks for the next 4 classes.

• Payment must be made in full, either by bank transfer or through the izoart.lv website.
• A subscription reserves your place in the group. Subscription payments are non-refundable.
• Subscriptions are available for 8 to 20 classes, with the option to pay monthly for just 4 classes at a time. The longer the subscription period, the lower the cost per class.
• Your subscription allows you to reschedule 1 missed class per month free of charge, provided that a new date and time are agreed in advance. If you are unable to attend, you must notify the studio at least 24 hours before the class by emailing info@izoart.lv.
• If you miss more than 1 class per month during your subscription period, a doctor’s note must be provided to the studio in order to reschedule the additional missed class free of charge.
• Missed classes that the studio was not notified about in advance are considered used and cannot be rescheduled.
• If you choose not to renew your subscription and decide to return at a later date, a place in your previous group is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
• All art materials must be purchased by the participant and are not included in the course price.

Studio Guidelines

• Please arrive at the studio 10 minutes before the start of your class.
• For marketing purposes, photographs and video recordings may be taken during classes. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, or do not want your artwork to be photographed or filmed, please inform a member of the studio staff in advance.
• When working with paint and/or other materials that may stain, please dress appropriately for the activity, take care of your workspace, and leave your workspace and the surrounding studio areas clean and tidy after the class.
