In the course, you will not only learn to draw beautifully and correctly but also experience the process, connecting with your creative self. Feel the delicate line where it's no longer you as an artist painting the image, but the image itself shaping your direction.

In the course (7 classes), you will paint 6 watercolor artworks and gain exciting practice with the support of master Jelena Lavrinoviča.

You will learn about wet-on-wet work, dry work, filling, and gradient stretching. You will try mixed technique, using additional materials such as salt, alcohol, rapidograph, ink, candle, etc.

You will learn to paint light, shadows, reflections, water reflections, clouds, convey the freshness of color and the volume of objects, learn about warm and cool tones in painting.
Try out various possibilities for working with watercolors.

You will create large and miniature watercolor works, paintings that require patience and meticulous details, as well as expressive ones with splashes and bold transitions.
You will fantasize and create your unique paintings using the monotype technique, which is similar to relaxation and meditation.

Alongside tranquil nature scenes, flowers, exotic birds, and associative drawings, you will also paint cityscapes, requiring an understanding of architecture, basic principles of composition, knowledge of constructing perspective in drawing, and atmospheric perspective.

Elena Lavrinovica graduated from the Latvian Academy, works as an illustrator, participates in international exhibitions, and teaches painting, drawing, and graphics.

*The course is taught by a Latvian artist Elena Lavrinovica (Latvian Academy of Arts) Latvian/English/Russian language.
